VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK (‘Parc National de Volcans’)
Probably the most famous destination in Rwanda, Volcanoes National Park has become synonymous with mountain gorilla safaris and no visit to the country would be complete without visiting these majestic and awe inspiring primates. The park having attained global fame through the research and conservation efforts of Dr. Diane Fossey was evocatively portrayed in the film, ‘Gorillas in the Mist’.

Although gorilla tracking is the premier activity the park also harbours a spectacular array of rare and endangered animals and plants.
