Day 1: ARRIVAL

You will be welcomed by a representative of who will transfer you to your hotel in Entebbe. Depending on the time of arrival you might spend the afternoon at UWEC, home to captive animals and over 170 species of birds. This includes 7 species of weavers, such as the rare Northern Masked Weaver and Orange Weaver. Dinner and overnight at Central-inn

Day 2: HERITAGE TRAILS

After a delicious breakfast transfer to the Heritage Trails, situated about 10 km from Entebbe. Here you will enjoy 4 hours of birding on the best trails around Kampala, with over 170 species of birds! Look out for the Brown Twin Spots, Moustached Warbler, Fain tailed Widow bird, White headed Barbets, Blue Monarch, Striped Kingfisher, Black Bishop, Black headed Gonolek, Klass’, Diederik’s Cuckoo and many more. Lunch at the Park; relax while birding and later in the afternoon return to your hotel. Dinner and overnight at central -inn

Day 3: MABAMBA SWAMP

Early transfer to Mabamba Swamp, 50km West of Kampala. Look out for many different birds on our way to the Swamp, like the Papyrus Gonolek, White winged Warbler, Northern Brown throated Weaver and Weyns Weaver. Mabamba Swamp is one of the best places to spot the rare Shoebill Stork. But also many other species can be found here, like the Allen’s Gallinule, Purple Gallinule (swamp hen), Grey herons, African Water Rail, Squacco, Goliath, Purple and a variety of egrets and ducks. The best way to enjoy the rich birdlife is by canoe and you might even have the luck to encounter the elusive Sitatunga Antelope, adapted to swampy habitats. Later in the afternoon continue to Kampala to your hotel. Dinner and overnight at Fairway Hotel

 

Day 4: MABIRA FOREST & SOURCE OF THE NILE

After breakfast we transfer towards Jinja, the famous origin of the mighty River Nile. About an hour drive from Kampala we will stop at Mabira Forest for a walk through the Tropical Rainforest. Species such as the Toro Greenbul, Yellow whiskered Greenbul, Leaf love, Forest Robin, Buf spotted Woodpecker, Grey spotted Woodpecker, White spotted Fluff tail, Red headed Blue Bill, Yellow spotted Barbet, Grey throated Barbet, Yellow rumped Tinker bird, Yellow throated Tinker bird, Blue breasted Kingfisher, African Pygmy, Shining Blue, Woodland Kingfishers, Red tailed Ant Thrush, Chin spot Batis, Banded Wattle Eye, Chestnut Wattle Eye, Brown capped, Yellow mantled, Black Billed, Weyn’s Weavers, Red headed Malimbe, Purple headed Starling, Violet backed Starling and many more fascinating species that are living in this Forest.
We continue to Jinja for lunch and a visit to the Source of the Nile. Here we will make a boat trip to the genuine origin of the famous river. Besides the many water birds like the African Fish Eagle, Open billed Stork, Long tailed Cormorant, Grey Heron, White Egret and Pied Kingfisher, you might see monitor Lizards hiding in the bushes. In the afternoon return to Kampala for dinner and overnight at Fairway Hotel.

Day 5: From Kampala head North through the districts of Luweero with their traditional farms and Villages, stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary before you proceed to Masindi for lunch you will proceed to the Murchison Falls National Park and for the top of falls with amazing scenic viewpoints later in the evening before you get down for the dinner and overnight at the Red Chili Camp (about 6hrs drive plus an extra 2-3hrs at the rhino sanctuary)

Day 6: Cross the River Nile by the ferry and set-off on an early morning game drive. Your guide helps to spot Elephants, Giraffe, Water Buffalo, Uganda Kobs and Lion, Butterflies are abundant. After a packed lunch take a Lunch Cruise to the base of the majestic Murchison Falls. There’s abundant bird life and you will almost likely to see numerous animals on the banks return for you dinner at the Red Chilli and overnight

Day 7: Depart early to the Fort Portal area. This area nestled in the Rwenzori Mountains is the seat for Toro Kingdom, lunch en route to Kibale Forest late arrival for dinner and overnight at Chimp Nest Kibale just in the jungle (about 9hours drive and possibly the longest drive)

Day 8: Full day search of Chimpanzee and 10 other Primates including Phoestes, Red Columbus, Blues, Red Tailed and Grey cheeked Mangaby. The guide will provide detailed explanations; not only on Primates but also on all the Forest Fauna and Flora it will ensure that your walk is both informative and enjoyable. This walk is excellent for viewing birdlife and seeing Primates at close quarters. Dinner and overnight at Kibale Chimp Nest.

Day 9: After your breakfast precedes to Queen Elizabeth National Park inflowing the mystical Rwenzori Mt range. A game drive en-route to view Lion, Elephants, Leopard, Hyena and variety of Antelope species, enjoy the unique 2hrs Boat Cruise on the Kazinga Channel in to Lake Edward in the afternoon. This Trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of Hippos. This lunch Cruise offers an excellent platform for Photography, Bird Watching and game viewing .dinner and overnight at Mweya Hostels (about 8hours drive)

Day 10: Two game drives today, Queen diverse Eco-system of grassy plains, Tropical Forests, Rivers, Swamps, Lakes and Volcanic Craters is a home to an incredible abundance of wildlife

Game drives in this Park with the massive Rwenzori as a back-drop provides excellent opportunities to see Lion, Elephants, Difasa, giant Forest Hogs, Cape Buffalo, Waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, Topi and Bushbuck

This two game drives and the boat trip (take prior) are memorable method of discovering a vast array of wildlife. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Hostels

Day 11: Early morning visit Kyambura Gorge for Chimps and Imaramagambo Forest, visitors can climb through Tropical Forest and catch a glimpse of a variety of Primates, including Chimpanzees

Visit the blue Lakes before you can have your packed lunch and later do an evening game drive, you will be expected to enjoy seeing a lot of wild animals like Lions, Hippos, Cape Buffalo, Uganda Kobs and Warthogs are usually seen. Overnight Mweya Hostels

Day 12: Awake for the sun rise do a game drive to see Elephants and possibly Climbing Lions as you drive through Ishasha sector to the Gorilla Sanctuary. Transit through Kigezi highlands with Terraced Banana Plantations on the steep slopes. Diner and overnight in Bwindi impenetrable at Buhoma Community Camp it takes you (5hrs drive)

Day 13: Go Gorilla Trekking walking up steep densely forested hills before finally coming across Gorillas Camouflaged in the Vegetations. An inspiring moment! Trekking in Bwindi requires stamina and often takes most of the day. Alternatively go for the leisurely Nature/Community Walks or you do this activity after Trekking the same day dinner and overnight at the Camp/Lodge

Day 14: After breakfast, the journey goes South through the beautiful Terraced hillsides that characterized much of Kisoro and Rwenzori’s Landscape gradually climbing to the base of the awesome Volcanoes, sometimes with as many as 5peaks visible and overnight at Kisoro Tourist Hotel ( about 8hrs drive)

Day 15: After your breakfast, go for Golden Monkey and we suggest a short hike to Mt, Mgahinga, Mt, Muhavura.

Mt,Sabinyo has 3 peaks, the 14kms round trip will take you about 8hrs and you simultaneously found yourself in all three countries Rwanda, Uganda and DRC.

Mt,Mgahinga Climbs through Bamboo Forest to reach a lush Swamp lying in the Crater at the summit. The round trip takes about 6hrs.Mt, Muhavura it takes you about 5hrs trek and this provides the shortest and the quickest ascent.

Day 16: Go Gorilla Trekking in Parc National des volcanoes trekking the Gorillas through the light Mountain Forests on the slopes of Virunga’s is magical experience. if you’re lucky you can get the gorillas, spend an hour with them and be back at the base in time for a late lunch! Some Gorilla families, however are more elusive and trekking can take a full day, especially when it’s wet and muddy. Dinner and an overnight at Kinigi

Day 17: After your breakfast, depart from Nyungwe Forest National Park  take a Nature Walk around after arrival set for dinner and overnight at ORTN guest house (about 8hrs drive)

Day 18: See Columbus Monkeys at Nyungwe National Park in the morning and late transfer to Kigali via Butale about 5hrs drive you will spend this night in Kigali/Star Skype Hotel and their after proceed and cross the border to Kabale head to Lake Bunyonyi commonly known as the Lake of little birds and the deepest Lake in E.Africa renowned for its variety and abundance of avian life. Enjoy a Canoe ride on this beautiful narrow Lake surrounded by green hills. Diner and overnight at Bunyonyi overland Camp about 3hrs drive from Kisoro to Kabale because of terrain.

Day 19: whole day at the lake and Islands with activities like Fishing, Swimming, Birding and some outdoor games. Dinner and overnight at the nature Island Camp

Day 20: early morning breakfast, cross by canoe to the shore and depart for Lake Mburo National Park  you pass through papyrus swamps and scattered pockets to Tropical Forest you have an opportunity to leave your Vehicle for a closer look at these natural habitats.

Learn about the settlements you pass through and changes these have wrought on the environment. Arrive in time for lunch at L.Mburo do a game drive and Boat Trip see Zebras and other Gazelles as well as a plenitude of birdlife. if time allows you can visit the arks nature study centre and later dinner and overnight at the Rwonyo Camp about 5hrs drive

Day 21: Take a Nature Walk where you will be able to closely see the Elands because there are  very shy animals and sometimes  because difficult to see them when driving, return for your breakfast and proceed to Kampala and overnight at the back packers.

Day 22: Early morning have your breakfast set-off drive to Jinja Town enjoy tour visiting so many places and so many sites like go for White Water Rafting and so many activities at Bujagali Falls like Bungee Jumping, City Tour like going to NYTIL factories and so many more dinner and overnight at UWA Bandas

Day 23: Early morning drive to Sipi Falls on the Mt Elgon and you will pass through Villages and settlements enjoy Sipi Falls and do some Mountain Climbing and Nature Walks if time allows dinner and overnight at UWA Bandas

Day 24: After breakfast drives back to Kampala have a stopover at the Equator for Photographers delight and your lunch en-route as well after get back to Kampala for a city touryou will visit Uganda Museum and Ndeere Troops in the evening for fun and your dinner as well later you will be transferred to your respective Hotel for an overnight at Fairway Hotel

Day 25: For not so early morning have your breakfast prepare yourself for some shopping in Craft Shops and Lunch time get back to the Airport catch your flight back home with memorable moments. Hope to see you again.
