7 DAY TANZANIA LUXURY SAFARI

TO TARANGIRE, SERENGETI, NGORONGORO CRATER AND LAKE MANYARA

Day One: Arrival at Arusha or Kilimanjaro

On arrival, our Kompass Safari representative will meet you at either Kilimanjaro Airport or Arusha Airport. We will then take you to your accommodation for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day Two: Tarangire National Park

After an early breakfast, we depart for Tarangire National Park and start the safari adventure with a game drive and picnic lunch at the park. Here you will come across the enormous elephant population other residents of the park such wildebeest and zebras. Have dinner and stay overnight a lodge here in Tarangire.

Day Three: Lake Manyara National Park

Have a hearty early breakfast at your lodge before we set off to Lake Manyara National Park. The Park offers beautiful views of its magnificent landscape from Acacia woodlands, water forests, baobab strewn cliffs, algae-streaked hot springs and swamps. The lake itself supports a vast array of animal species and over 300 species of birds. The park also boasts of having the largest concentration of baboons anywhere in the world and the lions here are known for their unique penchant for climbing trees. Enjoy your dinner and overnight stay at a lodge here.

Day Four: Serengeti National Park

After breakfast we journey through the attractive farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the world famous Serengeti National Park where we will head to the Seronera River in the centre of the park, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park as the river attracts droves of Serengeti wildlife. We arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti national park. Have dinner and relax overnight in a nearby lodge.

Day Five: Serengeti National Park

Enjoy a full day game drive at the world famous Serengeti National Park with its seemingly endless plains rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. The Serengeti National Park is the safari adventure most people imagine when they first start to dream of exploring Africa with its unequalled beautiful and iconic wildlife. We arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti national park. Dinner and overnight stay will be at a camp here in the Serengeti.

Day Six: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

An early breakfast means we can fit in a morning game drive experience before we depart for Olduvai Gorge, a ravine in the Great Rift Valley and one of the most important paleoanthropological sites in the world, where world renowned anthropologists Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of ‘Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handy Man’, both very significant links in the chain of human evolution. We will spend our afternoon at the Gorge after which you will be transferred to your lodge where you will have dinner and stay overnight.

Day Seven: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

After a hearty breakfast, we will descend over 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater to view all the special wildlife, much of which cannot be seen anywhere else apart from the crater. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro National Park supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw of this picturesque National Park, is the dense population of predators, including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and leopard. We will also visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually been seen here. Late in the afternoon we will transfer you either to Arusha or to the airport for onward travel.
