3 DAY KIBALE FOREST TOUR
Day One: Your Kompass Safari guide will meet you at Entebbe airport and you will be transferred to your hotel in Kampala, where you will have dinner and relax overnight at your accommodation preparing yourself for an exciting day of Safari tomorrow.
Day Two: Following breakfast at 7am we set off on a scenic drive through Mbarara town where we will have lunch. We then make our way to Kibale National Park.
Here we have the opportunity to go ‘Birding’ and spot remarkable indigenous birds and butterflies. You will also be able to go on fascinating nature walks at Bigodi swamp and spend some time with the locals. After our time here you will return to your Lodge for dinner and overnight relaxation.
Day Three: After breakfast, there will be a briefing with your guides for chimpanzee trekking. Then we collect our packed lunch and start our trek into Kibale Gorge. At the Gorge, you will climb through the tropical forest and breathtakingly see a variety of primates, including chimpanzees and monkeys, roaming free and in the wild. The trek can take you around 6/7 hours following which we return to Kampala stopping along the way at Lake Mburo National Park to take in the natural beauty and see the zebra’s and Ugandan Kobs. We reach Kampala late in the evening and you will be dropped either at your accommodation or at Entebbe airport for onward travel.
